data overwhelm. Through a combination of presentations and workshop
activities, award-winning educator and futurist Dr. Thornburg shares
practical strategies to help move from the world of highly impersonal data
to the domain of personal understanding - a journey we all want students to
take as they study any subject at virtually any grade.

DigiTales Camp: Creating Visual Essays and Reports
Three day workshop for teachers, curriculum leaders and staff developers by:
This three day media communication camp will prepare teachers to guide their
students in developing media literacy through the 'reading and writing' of
effective and content rich visual essays and reports. Participants will
experience the joy of authoring by creating a digital information product
and along the way learn multiple hardware and software tools including
eZediaMX, Inspiration, Quicktime, Internet resources, scanning and
digitizing for final production.
