Dear eZedia,
As you are aware we have been using eZediaMX in our technology programs at Balmoral Hall School since February of 2000. Before the introduction to eZediaMX, we struggled to find a suitable presentation/authoring tool that would suit our student's needs.
In our technology programs where the student is the technology expert and the teacher the curriculum expert, eZediaMX has allowed our students the flexibility to create amazing projects while achieving all the required learning outcomes. Students are able to focus on content and create elaborate projects without becoming burdened under terminology. This alone makes the integration of technology a positive experience for both the teacher and the student.
The students and faculty at Balmoral Hall have utilized this software to achieve many different results: electronic portfolios displaying their achievements, presentations for class and outside groups and learning aids for younger children. With our schools emphasis on marketing, we have been able to create a valuable interactive tour that allows us to display our facility and programs through various media. This project was well received worldwide as our Head of School used this presentation on her marketing tour of Asia. Our students from Grade 6 to Senior 4 have been exposed to eZedia and because of its friendly interface and ease of use, it would be a valuable tool for Junior School students as well.
Not only have we found the eZediaMX product to be valuable, but also the support and expertise of the company is incomparable. As our students challenge the limits of the software, the immediate feedback and technical support allows for uninterrupted learning, both, which are once again valued by both students and teachers.
As the role of technology in schools continues to change, eZedia will be valuable in demonstrating the importance of using technology as a tool toward learning and not as the end result.
