Eligibility
All K-12 teachers on behalf of their classrooms may enter the 2002 eZedia Zoom-ed Classroom Contest.
Contest Grade Categories
Entries will be grouped into one of the following categories:
K-5 Classrooms
6-8 Classrooms
9-12 Classrooms
Entry Requirements
K - 5 Classrooms - All eZediaMX projects are required to incorporate the following features, however not limited to, in order to qualify:
1. Incorporate the following media: graphics, music and text
2. Interactive buttons with navigation through the project
6 - 8 Classrooms - All eZediaMX projects are required to incorporate the following features, however not limited to, in order to qualify:
1. Incorporate the following media: graphics and/or video, music and/or voiceover and text
2. Interactive buttons with navigation through the project
3. Link media to create chains of events or actions that can be triggered by the user and encourage user interactivity
9 - 12 Classrooms - All eZediaMX projects are required to incorporate the following features, however not limited to, in order to qualify:
1. Incorporate the following media: graphics and/or video, music and/or voiceover and text
2. Interactive buttons with navigation through the project
3. Link media to create chains of events or actions that can be triggered by the user and encourage user interactivity
4. Demonstrate logic elements such as if/else and true/false statements within the project
How to Enter
1. Download and complete a contest Entry Form.
(The latest version of Adobe Acrobat is required)
2. Burn your eZediaMX project to CD and mail it along with your Entry Form to:

3. All entries must be received on or before the October 31, 2002 deadline.
4. There are no costs to enter, nor is the entrant limited to the number of classroom entries.
Deadline
The deadline for entries is October 31, 2002. Winners will be announced at the
NSBA (National School Boards Association) Technology & Learning Conference on November 13, 2002, in Dallas, TX.
Prizes
Each eZediaMX project entered will receive cool eZedia Gear just for entering.
The grand prize of a New Apple eMac for the classroom and a copy of eZediaMX for each
of its participating students (up to 30 students) will be awarded to a winning classroom
in each grade category by random draw. The three winning classrooms will also be featured
on eZedia's website and in the December eZedia World e-Newsletter.
Entry Prize Value: approx. $15 USD per item; Grand Prize Value: $1099 USD per Apple eMac.
Legal
All federal, state, provincial, local, or other jurisdictional laws and
regulations apply. In this respect, contest entrants must ensure that they
are legally permitted to enter the contest. Due to Quebec's legislative requirements,
this contest is not open to residents of that province. No purchase is necessary to enter.
In the case that there are no entries in a grade category, there will be no Grand Prize
draw for the Apple eMac of that particular category.
