eZedia Partners With Canada's Largest and Most Respected Educational Facility
WINNIPEG, CANADA January 8, 2001 eZedia Inc. a leader in digital media software technology today announced it has signed a licensing partnership agreement with The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE/UT). The Company will provide its software, eZediaMX for use on 235 workstations throughout departmental, research and development, and multimedia labs across the institution. eZediaMX is a powerful multimedia software system that dramatically simplifies the process of integrating digital media so that children, university students, and knowledge workers are able to rapidly integrate text, voice, images, video, and MP3 files on computers to produce visually powerful multimedia productions. The product enables any computer user to receive, generate, modify, edit, recreate, reformat, and re-present any and all digital media for applications at home, at work, and at school.
"We are excited about the opportunity to expose our staff and students to eZediaMX", said Robert Cook, Co-Director, Technology, Education Commons at OISE/UT. "Any software", he continued, "that enables people to better communicate through allowing its users to focus on the message instead of the technology, can only help to inspire people to be more creative and perhaps even better teachers."
Art Monk, Chief Executive Officer of eZedia, Inc. echoed Mr. Cook's enthusiasm saying, "Our agreement with OISE/UT is a tremendous opportunity to expose current and future educators to technology that allows students to focus on being creative with text, video, and sound without having to get bogged down with arcane technical constructs. This lets educators, students, and researchers take full advantage of all the digital media they encounter daily over the Internet, in e-mail, and from the digital still and video cameras that are taking the market by storm."
About eZediaMX

It enables users to create multimedia reports, interactive training programs, electronic image archives, voice and audio overlays, and complex media sequences that branch and flow based on user input. All of this is accomplished within an extremely simple environment where users can drag and drop media objects and connect them with various control objects to create sophisticated digital media productions.
