Building a Digital Family Tree for the Holidays
This year, instead of sending a Christmas card, try sending an interactive digital family tree CD-ROM. Not only
will your gift be unique, but it is also a rich and colorful way to share the story of your family with loved ones.
How to get started? First gather together a collection of family pictures,
videos, and favorite songs. Include pictures, videos, and music from a
family reunion, your beloved pets, birthday celebrations, anniversaries,
home renovations, or any other special occasion. Next, use eZediaMX to
create your introduction frame with family name and group picture. You can
then add additional frames for each family member that will link off the
introductory page. Bring your family's story to life with digital media!

Once your family tree is complete, simply burn it to CD-ROM, and add a decorative Christmas label. Your digital family tree is a

Using eZedia Object Wells: An Overview
 Object Wells are media libraries where you can store and save the different
types of media you use in creating an eZediaMX or eZediaQTI project. You can
save graphics, videos, sounds, text, navigation buttons, and much more in
eZedia's Object Wells. The Object Well can hold a single graphic, group of
buttons, or even the contents for an entire eZediaMX and eZediaQTI project.
Items in a Well can then be reused in any number of documents and the Object
Well itself can be saved as a separate file.
To create a new Object Well, begin by selecting File > New > New Object Well
from the eZediaMX or eZediaQTI menu bar. Now simply select the media you
wish to store in the Object Well by holding the Ctrl Key (Command Key on
Macintosh) and dragging the media from the frame into the Object Well.
You can now re-use any of the media from an Object Well by just dragging the
item from the Well onto any eZediaMX or eZediaQTI frame. All media in an
Object Well will remember its size and position, as well as any properties
you've set.
Using eZedia's Object Wells is a great way to reuse media on multiple
frames, or throughout multiple projects. In combination with the Placeholder
Object, you can quickly and easily create templates for others to use.
