2. T3 Conference Debuts at InfoComm 02
The T3 - Presentations Technologies, Trends and
Tactics Conference will be held June 12th at the Sands Expo and Convention
Center in Las Vegas, Nevada to coincide with the InfoComm 02 conference
and exposition. The first-of-its-kind, one-day intensive conference will
focus on the changing role of visual communications specialists in
business and examine changes in technology and communications
strategies.
"T3 is unique because it provides valuable information
about trends in presentation technology and the real world application of
latest interactive and collaborative technologies in today's demanding
business environments. Not only is it great to see dynamic new
communication tools such as eZediaMX, but the real bonus is to have the
company actively participate and sponsor industry events like T3. It
demonstrates a solid commitment to presentation professionals and to the
industry as a whole. We look forward to eZedia communicating and exchanging
ideas with T3 participants," said Ray Guyot, President, Outlook
Presentations Ltd.
eZedia is a proud sponsor of this year's T3 conference and will be available for one-on-one personal eZediaMX
demonstrations. Please contact Lynne Forsyth or Sam Nimchonok to
schedule.
T3 registration is open to presentation professionals,
visual communications specialists and communications managers who work in
corporations, at independent media companies or as free
agents.
3. Easy TV : A Guide to Creating TV Safe eZeMatte Themes
Using eZeMatte is a great way to add flair
to your Apple iMovies - but if you are transferring your movie to iDVD or
playing it back on a TV screen, there is something you need to remember.
On a TV screen, a small part of your movie doesn't show up; the
edges!
This is important to consider when creating an eZeMatte
theme graphic. A good rule of thumb for this is a 40 pixel border. If
elements of your graphic are within 40 pixels of the edge of your movie,
there is a good chance they won't be seen on a TV screen. As you can see
from the diagram below, creating themes that are very close to the edge of
the screen will not be displayed. Instead have your eZeMatte themes take
up a little more screen space, and you're ready for TV.

4. E-Writing: The Transformation of Concept Map into Lively Multimedia Documents
By Drs. Jane & Michael Madden
Francis Marion University
Summary
Now is an exciting time to be in education, for there is a convergence between
possibilities suggested by theories and the tools needed to realize those
possibilities in practice. Gardner's Multiple Intelligences provides
teachers with ways to recognize and acknowledge diverse student talents,
while the Habits of Mind focus attention on what it takes to live and work
intelligently, to be excited about the possibilities offered by new
challenges and opportunities, and to contribute effectively in real-world
environments. Conventional presentation tools designed for business were
not well suited to empower a broad range of learners to represent and
refine their understandings, to show what they know, and in the process,
become more effective communicators. In making powerful communication
tools easy to use, eZediaMX is an excellent example of how authoring
software can become a means of supporting and enhancing learning. Using
eZediaMX in conjunction with complementary tools, such as Inspiration, and
good teaching strategies, as suggested in the Structured Writing approach,
for example, builds a strong foundation for students. In combination with
frameworks like Multiple Intelligences and Habits of Mind, it provides a
point of convergence for opportunities to transform learning environments.
