"iMovie's special effects provide potential for a lot of fun. If you're using OS X, you can take advantage of Apple's extra effects by using Sherlock's AppleCare channel - search for AppleCare KnowledgeBase Document 120059. There are also some great effects plug-in from other software vendors. Here are a few.
We've had a blast with the professional-level effects of eZedia ($69, www.ezedia.com). The eZeClip effect lets you create picture-in-picture effects, and eZeMatte lets you put an image over your iMovie clip. The eZeScreen effect create blue/green screen special effects so you, too, can fly like Superman - well, atleast in your movies."
